I am Carolyn Weller. I am based in North London and specialise in taking black and white photographs of children and families. My camera is a Leica and I use film. As a child photographer, I prefer to take photos of children in their homes where they are more at ease than they are in a studio. I set up a quick studio at home with professional lighting and a backdrop.

I love working with children. I get the best from them by doing whatever it takes to distract them from self-consciousness. This includes making a fool of myself to make them laugh, playing games or just chatting.
